Robin Silver is a Translator and Editorial Strategist with extensive experience across a wide range of industries and disciplines. She has translated legal, financial and commercial documents, corporate and institutional websites and translated and adapted countless marketing materials for major international corporations and brands. She also has worked extensively translating and editing for cultural, academic and scientific institutions in France and around the world. Robin holds a Bachelor's Degree in history form Smith College, Northampton Massachusetts and a Graduate Degree in Economics and Finance from l'Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris.
Her work, primarily from French to English, covers a broad scope of industries from perfume and cosmetics to agri-food and energy distribution. She has worked in sectors that include higher education, academic research in economics, the social sciences, finance and geochemistry as well as art, architecture and design and social development projects.
When translating, producing and adapting content or defining Editorial Strategy, Robin draws on considerable managerial experience in Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Strategy, Strategic Marketing, Design and General Management. She was in charge of international joint venture projects for the Générale Biscuit group, responsible for Mergers & Acquisitions for Louis Vuitton and LVMH, head of the Licensing Division of Givenchy Couture and CEO of ARTCODIF, the commercial subsidiary of the Musée des Arts décoratifs-Paris.
Robin currently lives in Paris where she also sings 20th century and contemporary musical theatre, baroque opera and German lieder. She is mother to a bi-cultural lawyer and a much-loved King Charles Spaniel.
